The Park

Smith Rock State Park is just over 15 minutes from the cabins. The park is perhaps most well-known for it’s climbing routes and on any given day you’ll see dozens of climbers all over the park testing out their skills.

But, that’s not all the park has to offer. There are trails all throughout the park – if you want to keep it easy go for a stroll along the river or feeling up for more of a challenge try out the Misery Ridge or Summit Trails to get a birds eye view of the area.

Hiking, trail running, horseback riding are all allowed in the park so you’ll have plenty of options. Looking for a longer hike? The Smith Rock Trail system hooks up with the Grey Butte BLM trail and you can easily put 15+ miles for a long day of hiking with incredible views.

And if slack-lining is your thing, they also have opportunities for that in the park. Bring your own or find some folks using one and ask if you can have a turn.

Dogs allowed here on leash!
